The Polish landscape contains negative as well as positive representations of Polish-Jewish relations. This lecture will present concrete examples of this, and will show how manipulation of the landscape becomes part of the construction of identity. The landscape can support memory, but can also contribute to forgetting. That is why it continues to be a battlefield of the Jewish and Polish memories.
