LITERARY PROGRAM
Historia z konsekwencjami [A History with Consequences] - promotion of the book by Michał KOMAR and Krzysztof KOZŁOWSKI, published by Świat Książki Publishing House. This book provides a tremendous and much satisfying pleasure of encountering an original and wise man, as well as with his wonderfully prepared interlocutor. In addition, or perhaps even above all, it is a fascinating and exciting political and cultural encounter with the last 150 years of the history of Poland. The book filled with priceless details and penetrating reflections, on occasion humorous ones, on Poland and Poles, presents a wonderful and very sensitive man who, just like his forefathers, is swept into the whirl of our dramatic history. The point is that ?there exist situations when one needs to say ?no!?But then, there are situations when one needs to say ?yes!? And accept the consequences....? Krzysztof Kozłowski is a graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin, with a doctorate in philosophy. For years, he served as a deputy editor-in-chief of Tygodnik Powszechny; he served as Minister of Internal Affairs in the Tadeusz Mazowiecki government and was a Senator of the Republic of Poland.

Różowe strusie pióra [The Pink Ostrich Feathers] - promotion of the book by Hanna KRALL, published by Świat Książki Publishing House. The Feathers is a unique, personal chronicle of the past half a century, laced with received letters, postcards, remembered conversations, opinions and memories. The Feathers become a story filled with details and reflections on the absurdities of the Peoples Republic of Poland, on God, on literature and art, on heroism and cowardice, on the early years? doubts and the old years? fears, and on history and politics.
