CONCERTS
The Center
for Jewish Culture has the only continuously functioning concert hall
in the Kazimierz district of Cracow.
The Judaica Foundation regularly organizes concerts, and cooperates
with several renowned music festivals in Cracow such as the Music in
Old Cracow Festival, Andrzej Panufnik Festival, Early Music Festival,
Clarinet Festival and Festival of Cracow Composers. In addition to concerts
of traditional Jewish music, the Center hosts chamber music concerts,
recitals, choral music and jazz, performed by Polish and foreign artists.
Some of the most important musical events at the Center for Jewish Culture
have been concerts by Leopold Kozłowski and friends, the KROKE ensemble,
the Jascha Lieberman Trio, Reiner Trio and Leipzig Synagogal Choir,
piano recitals by Ophra Yerushalmi (U.S.A.), Beata Bilińska and Neal
Stulberg (U.S.A.), and jazz evenings with Adam Makowicz.
Since the fall of 1999 the Center has held Monthly guitar concerts organized
under the artistic direction of Prof. Michał Nagy of the Cracow Music
Academy. Our audiences have welcomed Maestro Abel Carlevaro (Uruguay),
David Qualey (U.S.A.), Dimitris Regginos (Cyprus), Marco Diaz Tamayo
(Cuba), Marcin Siatkowski, Adam Zalas, Michał Pindakiewicz and others.
